One photographer, one camera philosophy: go slowly, look longer, and print only what lasts.

Portrait of photographer Elena Marsh holding her camera
Hello, I'm Elena

Photographs for people who still look slowly

Tidewick began on grey coastal mornings with a second-hand camera and a stubborn belief: that a photograph should calm a room, not shout at it. Ten years later the kit is better but the method hasn't changed — I walk, I wait, and I take far fewer frames than you'd expect.

Every print in the shop is one I have stood in front of, proofed under daylight, and argued with. If it doesn't hold the wall, it doesn't make the catalogue. What remains is a small, honest collection of coasts, cities, forests and wild lives.

All prints are made to order in our studio on archival cotton rag, stamped, checked by hand, and shipped flat and free.
